7th May – The Diamond Princess.

We are travelling steerage in inside 4 person cabins on this 5* cruise liner. It is simply a means of transport go get us from Asia to North America, but the luxury is appreciated. I had intended to use this time to upload photographs but the cost of going online is horrendous and the satellite connection is not good. So I will upload photographs when I get more time and a better (free) connection. In the meantime I am emailing text to my good friend Luke back at the office to do the business for me. Thanks Luke. You’re a star.

Yes, thanks, Luke, I've been checking twice daily to see new posts. Finally, I got to tour China. Ann,your description is so great, I feel I have seen the sights. Can't wait until you reach Seattle. Oh, I guess I can because I'm sure that since you're having so much fun that you don't want this trip to end. Enjoy Alaska, one of my favorite places. Flagmaker

I wanted to visit and allow you to know how great I appreciated discovering your blog today. I'd consider it a real honor to operate at my business office and be able to use the tips shared on your web site and also be involved in visitors' responses like this. Should a position connected with guest writer become available at your end, make sure you let me know.

Ah, to be aboard a cruise ship again, no matter the type of cabin. It's been over a year, far too long for someone with 88 cruises, 78 of them in the last 17 years!

Sounds like you're having fun, Ann. I am so jealous!

Hello Ann,

I read the article about you and your trip in the German news magazine "Der Spiegel" the other day and was really impressed.

Even though my grandfather still does a lot of travelling at the age of 82, he mainly stays within the borders of Germany.

So, I guess your children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren must be incredibly proud of you!

Enjoy your journey and keep blogging. I am looking forward to reading more!
