My collegues in the office commented that I haven't written a blog for a while. I explained that I am so out of routine and really need to get disciplined again. Clair suggested that in the meantime I should write some bloglets. So here is my bloglet today. This evening one of our daughters is treating OG and me to a "fine dining" experience at http://www.hambletonhall.com. Must go and get ready. Toodle pip.
We moved up to Rutland when we first got married in 1976, and used to drive past Hambleton Hall now and then and comment on how sad it was that it was derelict, a beautiful house like that.
Then we watched the renovations, but they hadn't finished before we'd moved away. I did know that it had been turned into a hotel, but I had no idea that it was so grand and luxurious and did food for non-guests! We'll have to give it a try some time.

Better to get a blogLET than a blogLESS. Sorry!!!!!!!
What a great way to get back into it RAC. Will keep a look out for your bloglets. Hope you have a lovely evening. A x
Just read Maggie May's comment - ouch! but very witty.
Have a great evening ~ Eddie
I googled Hambleton Hall - Forthcoming Events, but there's no mention of your attending for a meal, so I don't believe you.
Very good Maggie.
Yes, Anne, I think I had lost my way for a while, but I can feel the muse ascending again,
Thanks Eddie, I did have a great evening. Thankfully I didn't have to pay the bill this time!
Once?
Which time are you referring to?
I was referring to the time you told me that porky pie about your friends' daughter knowing the Obamas. Although, knowing you it was probably true!
Finally,I was going through withdrawals. Flagmaker

I'm so glad you enjoyed your treat. :)
You need to get out more flagmaker!
