EYE SPY

“I spy with my little eye something beginning with ch”

The little one doesn’t quite get the rules of this game, but hey, she is only 5.

“OK, ch – is it a Chair” “No”

Her sister chimes in “Is it in the car?” “No”

“Is it on a tree?” “No but it’s right near you now, now it’s gone”

We drive along a bit further.

“Can you see it now?” “No”

“Wow that’s really hard, I give in”

“So do I” says her sister.

She giggles “Shall I tell you?” “OK” “Chaffic lights”

Talking about traffic a man is stuck in a jam for 4 hours on the M1. Eventually he sees a guy walking along between the lines of cars towards him. "What's the hold-up?", he asks. "A ministerial Jag has been hijacked. They're holding Gordon Brown, Alistair Darling and the minister for transport to ransom for £10 million, or they're threatening to set fire to them. We're collecting donations.""OK. How much is everyone else giving?""About a gallon!" Boom! Boom!

I love it - I remember my younger son making spelling mistakes with I-Spy too. His brother used to get so mad!!

'Chaffic lights'! ROFL!

I think playing I-spy with little ones should be compulsory for the retired - it keeps the brain very active! I love it too and think it could be equal in the "cute" stakes with watching 5 years olds on sports day. A x

Isn't I-Spy the most wonderful game Jay. We have had so many laughs over the years.

Are you talking about a Chaffic Intersection David?

I know the one! It took Amy a while to grasp Eye Spy. Now we have lots of different versions of it: colours, animals.

It's been dog years since I played I-Spy. My granddaughter is almost to the age to enjoy something like this. I already looking forward to discovering what sort of coined words she'll come up with. Love "chaffic signal." Cute post.

Oh... I'm arrived through David's Post of the Day at authorblog.

Well that is quite normal if you are very little! I once was playing the same game & a child chose W & after giving up, he said Woof, meaning roof!

Hilarious! We play similar eye spys. you should try 20 questions with the five year old-- it's really hard to guess when the subject keeps changing :-)

I came through David-- great post!

I never thought of doing I-Spy with colours Crystal. That would be easier for the little ones wouldn't it? But maybe not quite so funny.

Thanks for visiting Pat. I don't know who enjoys these games more the children or us golden oldies!

Woof! So funny Maggie. Isn't our language odd? It's so obvious that roof should be spent woof! Even a child can see that!!

Laughing is what it's all about flick. Where would we be without it?

You have to have some form of relief when you are held hostage by 5 children don't you? Thanks for visiting. Isn't the weather the pits at the moment? But according to customer we wouldn't have anything to talk about if we didn't talk about the weather would we?
